Despite all the recent drama in his life with people like The Rock and Tank, Tyrese is still finding time to look out for the people that he loves. In an Instagram video yesterday, he shared the news that on the 11th anniversary of his mother's sobriety from alcohol, his gift to her was a 5-bedroom house.
"It's not about what's in your bank account," Tyrese said as he stood outside of the house, "it's what you're doing to make a difference in other people's lives."
In the caption for the video, Tyrese shared some personal details about his rocky relationship with his mother growing up. "If there's an award in heaven for forgiveness, having compassion towards those who have broken your heart and let you down over and over and over again," he started, "I hope God doesn't skip over me."
He said that his mother's 27-years of substance abuse "killed" his childhood and was the reason he has been on his own since he was 17. "This is how I decided to celebrate her and the victories God's favor that he has extended over her life," he said about the new house."
Tyrese didn't post a video of the reveal to his mother, but we bet it was sweet and filled with happy tears.
