It has been 31 years since "She's Gotta Have It" launched Spike Lee's career, and now the legendary director is revisiting the story as a 10-episode series for Netflix. With all of the episodes dropping on November 23, we finally have a look at the official full trailer, courtesy of the streaming service's YouTube channel.

The series is directed by Spike and executive produced by his wife, Tonya Lewis Lee, whom Spike credits with the idea of turning his 1986 film into a show. DeWanda Wise stars as Nola Darling, with former "Hamilton" star Anthony Ramos, Cleo Anthony, and Lyriq Bent starring as her three lovers.

"She's Gotta Have It" was filmed in Brooklyn (of course) which is also the setting of Nola Darling's complicated story of love, life, sexual identity, and agency. The original film was shot in 12 days and cost Spike $175,000, but judging by the production value in the trailer, the Netflix series cost a bit more and took a lot more than two weeks to finish.

If you haven't yet, do yourself a favor and watch the original before binging the new series on Thanksgiving. It's a classic that everybody should see at least once.
