Steve Harvey might be stuck in the "Sunken Place"— according to T.I., at least.
The 36-year-old rapper has been quite outspoken about Donald Trump lately, calling the president a "F*cking Tangerine Tanned Muskrat scrotum skin Lacefront Possum fur Wig wearing, Alternative fact, Atomic Dog diarrhea face ass man" (his words, not ours!) on Instagram last Tuesday.
This week, Steve Harvey, one of Trump's most outspoken black defenders, has become the subject of TIP's rage.
After the comedian/talk show host urged rappers to treat the office of the president with more respect on his morning radio program, T.I. took to Instagram to suggest that Harvey might be stuck in "the Sunken Place" from Jordan Peele's Get Out — a metaphor for when a Black person is brainwashed and traumatized by a white person to the point where they lose their psyche and become a pawn.
"We respect those who respect US," T.I. wrote in the comments section of a post about Harvey's remarks. "We respect those who respect themselves. Emergency msg to u my brother."
He ends his post with the telling hashtag, "#GETOUT."
Harvey's been publicly supportive of Trump since at least this January, when he had a controversial meeting with the then-president elect in New York's Trump Tower.
Did T.I. go too far with his post, or does Harvey need a wake-up call?
